New Captain Named For A Tour Game Against Australia

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule of India’s upcoming home season against the Kiwis and the Aussies in association with Cricket Australia and New Zealand cricket. The home season will start on 17th September with the ODI series against Australia. The home team will play Australia in 5 ODI’s and three T20Is. The venues for the 5 ODI’s are Chennai, Kolkata, Indore, Bengaluru, and Nagpur while the 3 T20I’s will be hosted by Delhi, Rajkot, and Thiruvananthapuram.
The series against Australia will be followed by a short series against the Black Caps. New Zealand will play 3 ODI’s and as many T20I’s. The venues for the 3 ODI’s will be Mumbai, Pune and Uttar Pradesh while the T20I’s will be hosted by Delhi, Rajkot, and Thiruvananthapuram.

The tour match between the Board President’s XI and Australia is scheduled to be held ahead of the ODI series on 12th September. Gurkeerat Singh Mann has been named as the captain of the practice game which will also see some of the forgotten stars getting an opportunity to excel against a class opposition.
