New Zealand speedster Trent Boult, who is currently playing in the Indian Premier League has picked two of his countrymen in his dream fast-bowling attack.
However, this trend of picking dream XI has been going on for a while now. They list their favourite 11 players they will want to have on their side.
The 28-year-old Boult named his teammate Tim Southee as the first choice in a video message to ICC.
Meanwhile, Southee started his career before Trent Boult and had represented the side in 60 Tests, and 133 ODIs. Southee has 220 Tests wickets and has got 176 victims in the ODIs.
Boult names his dream bowling unit
The Kiwi seamer in the video said Southee had been his bowling partner for all his career so he will put him in the group of his dream bowling lineup.
Then he named two of his bowling idols, who will also make it to this line-up. Former Pakistan legend Wasim Akram and South Africa speedster Dale Steyn are the two fast bowlers Boult idolise.
Akram is one of the greatest bowlers ever to play the game of cricket. He is the greatest architect of reverse swing bowling while Steyn is a modern-day legend.
Boult then named his former countrymen, all-rounder Richard Hadlee as the fourth bowler in the bowling attack. According to Boult, the mentioned four would make a hell-of-a-bowling-attack.
Notably, Boult and Southee have done an outstanding job for the Black Caps over the years. Boult has played 54 Tests and 66 ODIs for New Zealand where he has picked up 215 Tests and 122 ODI wickets, respectively.
Meanwhile, he is representing Delhi Daredevils in the ongoing IPL. Although his team had a poor start, Boult has done fairly well so far in the league.
