Saurav Ganduly, who has already been inducted into the panel for rendering advise and guide the BCCI and the national cricket team on the issues for taking necessary steps to face the challenges in future, is still not clear about his role in the BCCI’s newly-constituted advisory committee. It is worthwhile to mention that former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly on Monday said he is happy to be clubbed with Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman in the panel.

He said “I have just come to know about the committee, rest I don’t know. I don’t even know what is the role of the advisory committee. (But) I am happy to work with Sachin and Laxman,”

Elaborating the role of three former great Indian cricketers in the committee, the BCCI said the three legends’ guidance will be sought in preparing the national team for draining overseas assignments apart from strengthening them for the domestic structure.

The BCCI said “Areas of immediate focus will be to provide guidance to our national team as we set out to enhance our performance on overseas engagements, provide direction to improve our talent pathway and take steps to strengthen domestic cricket to better prepare our players to handle the rigors of International Cricket.”

Although it is too early to comment on the impact of introducing three extremely wonderful legendary cricketers to facilitate much needed improvement especially being faced by Team India during away series but given their experience and expertise along with their proven and time tested commitment, this might prove to be a game changer for Team India, who in turn can dominate in all three formats across the globe.
