Pakistan’s pre-World Cup team trip to Dubai has been postponed since the team still needs to get their visas to leave for India on Friday. The Men in Green were scheduled to travel to the UAE the next week and stay there for a few days before travelling to Hyderabad on September 29 to play the practice game against New Zealand.
Pakistan is currently looking at the possibility of leaving Lahore early on Wednesday to fly to Dubai and then to Hyderabad. There does seem to be general trust that the visas will arrive in time for Pakistan to leave, despite one official calling the situation “alarming.”

According to ESPNcricinfo, among the nine teams flying to India for the ODI World Cup, Pakistan is the only one who has not yet received their visas. The delay does draw attention to the political tension between the countries in which the team is visiting India.
The practice match between India and Pakistan will be played behind closed doors in Hyderabad due to insufficient security assurances from the authorities. Around the time of that game, there were two significant religious celebrations in the city.
Since the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008, the bilateral ties between India and Pakistan have been suspended. Since that terrible incident, in the country, there has only been one bilateral series between India and Pakistan, which was when Misbah-ul-Haq’s Pakistan visited India for a brief white-ball series in 2012–2013 followed by the Men in Green’s visit to the country for the 2016 T20 World Cup.

As of now, all the bilateral relations between India and Pakistan are suspended due to political and security reasons. The arch-rivals do not play any bilateral series against each other and only take on each other during ICC events or the Asia Cup.
The India-Pakistan games in cricket are one of the most anticipated matches in the cricket team across any format of the game, as they offer many memories for fans worldwide. Pakistan will take on India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14. The match is expected to be a high-octane clash, as the buzz around the game has already been raised since the announcement ICC World Cup Schedule.
