According to various star Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya’s return to the Indian team may be longer than expected. His non-participation in the optional practice session on Thursday indicates that he won’t be available for the game against England on Sunday. There is serious discussion about the possibility of his recovery taking more time.

The Indian team management and Rohit Sharma are reconsidering their strategy for the World Cup campaign after learning that Hardik Pandya is uncertain for the remaining matches. He is suffering from a Grade 1 ligament tear and is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

The exact date of his return is uncertain, and it is not clear whether he will be fit for the match against Sri Lanka on November 2 or for the game against South Africa on November 5. However, he will not be available for the Lucknow game.

“The all-rounder was taken for scans and is advised to rest. He will be under the constant supervision of the BCCI Medical Team. He will not be taking the flight to Dharamsala with the team on 20th October and will now join the team directly in Lucknow where India play England,” BCCI stated after the Bangladesh game.

During the India vs Bangladesh cricket match, Hardik Pandya, the all-rounder, twisted his ankle while using his right foot to block Litton Das’ straight shot in the ninth over. As a result, he fell to the ground and twisted his left ankle.

After receiving an extended on-field treatment, Pandya was allowed to bowl again, but he was unable to complete his over due to his injury. Despite taping his right ankle, he had to walk off the field and didn’t take the innings throughout the marquee event.

The Indian cricket team has shown reluctance to rush Hardik Pandya back into the squad as he continues to recover from injury. As a result, it seems unlikely that he will be available for India’s next game against England on October 29.

The team arrived in Lucknow on Wednesday, but Hardik’s return for upcoming matches against Sri Lanka and South Africa also remains uncertain. Throughout his career, Hardik has been prone to injuries, which has left both him and the team management disappointed.
