Pakistan Awami League Chief Tweets ‘Well Played Green Shits’ After Pakistan’s Win At The MCG

Awami Muslim League (AML) patron and Former Minister of Railways, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad took to Twitter to congratulate Pakistan team by tweeting “Well Played Green Shits” after the Green Shirts beat Australia by six wickets in the second One-day international of five-match series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The 66-year-old politician Rashid was quick in deleting the tweet when he realized that he has committed a massive mistake.

However, the eagle-eyed users on the Twitter had already saved a screenshot which was followed by a major backlash on the micro-blogging site.

The Twitterati poked fun at Rashid’s seemingly auto-corrected tweet.

“I guess Ian Chappell is tweeting from Sheikh Rashid’s account,” Ali Qasim tweeted.

On Sunday, Pakistan did a splendid job to put an end to the 12-year drought on Australian soil by winning the ODI game.

It was also their first win at the MCG in ODIs since 1985 against Australia.

The five-match series is currently leveled at 1-1.
