Here we are talking about batsmen with most number of double centuries in Test Cricket. Currently there are just 10 players who have more than 5 double centuries to their name and it doesn’t look like in the few years to come anyone can cross that. Off the top 5 players there is just one player who is still playing Test cricket.
First let us take a look at list of batsmen with most number of double centuries –

Kumar Sangakkara is the only active batsmen in Test Cricket present in the top 5 along with Virender Sehwag in the Top 10. Kumar Sangakkara is just 2 more double centuries short of equalling the record of Sir Don Bradman. Sangakkara has still got atleast a couple of years still left in his career in which he would like to definitely break this record. Will he do it or not, only time will tell. But it is great to see 6 batsmen from the sub-continent to featured in this elite list of batsmen with most 200s.
If we look at conversion rates, then there is no one beating Sir Don, of his 29 100s, on 12 occassions he has gone on to score a 200+ score and most of all, he had just played 80 innings to achieve this record.
