Pragyan Ojha once again announced himself on the big stage, when he took a five wicket haul against Australia A in the first unofficial test. Ojha comes back from a horrid time, as the BCCI had banned him from bowling, as his action was found to be illegal. After remodeling his action, Ojha did find it difficult to trouble the batsmen. But now, finally he has struck form and looked lethal against the visiting Aussie batsmen.
Speaking on the sidelines of the game, Ojha said that he is upbeat about his future with team India. Despite being ignored for the Sri Lanka tests, Ojha said that he had nothing to complain, and his time with the Indian side would come soon.
“What I went through after six years of international cricket, I do not want any international cricketer to suffer the same way in their entire career,” said Ojha. “I am totally concentrating on the games that I am playing. Our plan is to win the first Test against Australia A. Then you have another Test next week and then the one-day tri-series start with South Africa as the third team. I will do my best to win matches for India A,” said Ojha.
With a five wicket haul to his name in the first innings of the first unofficial test, it seems Ojha’s chances might come sooner than later.
