Key Players

Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina has not been in good form in this year’s IPL edition. He needs to take time and play more balls to get settled. Against Delhi Daredevils he made 11 off 8 deliveries and was dismissed playing a rash stroke. In today’s match he must get form back so that Chennai Super Kings will miss Brendon Mucllum after today’s match so the pressure will be on him to get his confidence back for the big matches.

R Ashwin

R Ashwin has been bowling very well in this year’s IPL tournament so far. Despite not having too much target to defend he bowled 4 overs and gave away only 24 runs. Against Kings XI Punjab his form will be vital as taking wickets will help him and the team to get the confidence back before the play off stages begins.

Axar Patel

In the previous match against Royal Challengers Bangalore Axar Patel was star performer with bat and ball. While batting his 20 off 15 balls in a rain curtailed match and then picked 2 wickets for 11 runs helped Punjab to win the match. He was adjudged the man of the match. Against Chennai Super Kings he needs to repeat his performance if they have to beat Chennai Super Kings.

Anureet Singh

Anureet Singh has been the pick of the bowlers along with Sandeep Sharma. In the previous match against Royal Challengers he picked the wicket of Virat Kohli and then dismissed Sarfraz Khan to help Kings XI Punjab consolations win. Against Chennai Super Kings he needs to bowl well and help Punjab get another win before ending the season.
