Karachi Kings captain, Imad Wasim, has refused to answer about Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, after his team lost to the Quetta Gladiators on Saturday, February 18. The Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi have many rivalries both on and off the field.

Earlier, in PSL 2023, during the match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi, Azam flicked Amir for a boundary, which frustrated the left-arm pacer and he threw the next ball toward  Azam in utter desperation, which sparked a wide range of controversy.

In the post-match press conference, Imad was asked about their clash against Zalmi-led by Babar. However, the Karachi Kings’ captain refused to talk about the Zalmi captain.

“It is not like that. Everything that comes on media, is sometimes true, and sometimes it is not. I don’t want to talk about Babar, because the way our team is playing, we need to focus on results,” he said.

Karachi Kings defeated Lahore Qalandars by 67 runs on Sunday, with Captain Imad Wasim as the player of the match scoring 35 runs from 19 balls and picking up a solitary wicket after conceding 23 runs. Karachi Kings have won only four out of their last 20 PSL matches, they won just one game in 10 last season.
