After Pakistan international players Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif were allegedly accused of the spot-fixing saga during the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has requested the tribunal committee to impose life ban on the cricketers after bringing disgrace to country’s cricket.

“Yes, we are pushing the tribunal to impose a life ban on both the players,” PCB’s legal representative Tafazzul Rizvi was quoted as saying by PTI.

As PCB decided not to show any leniency towards the players, the Board’s revealed it is a cause of huge concern owing and the authorities would meet such cases owing to the zero tolerance in a bid to make cricket

“We have given enough compelling evidence against them and about their involvement in the spot-fixing case,” Rizvi added.

It’s pertinent to mention the tribunal committee is presided by Asghar Haider, who is also a retired judge of Lahore High Court has already rejected the application submitted by the lawyer of Latif.

However, Latif’s legal counsel was asked to file the written application up to August 9 which would also be deemed as final submission after two were rejected out of four.
