R. Sridhar set to rejoin Indian team as fielding coach

R. Sridhar is set to make a comeback in the Indian dressing room to take over his previous role of fielding coach of the Indian cricket team. Sridhar was replaced with Abhay Sharma during India tour of Zimbabwe and West Indies, meanwhile, Sridhar went to Australia to train Australia A team but now he is back and is set to take over his old role.
Sridhar was appointed as the fielding coach of Indian cricket team during India tour of England 2014. It was the same our when Ravi Shastri was appointed as the director of Indian cricket team. Sridhar’s and Shastri’s contract ended after the T20 World cup played in India earlier this year.
It is said that players are quite comfortable with Sridhar and wanted him back in the team. Hence, BCCI recalled Sridhar to take over the job.
Ramakrishnan Sridhar in his 11-year domestic career played 35 first class games and 15 List A games. He completed a three-level course in the year 2007. He has previously worked with Kings XI Punjab, India Under 19 team and few domestic teams.
