Legendary cricketer Rahul Dravid is probably the nicest guy the game has ever witnessed. Throughout his career, he had shied away from grabbing the limelights despite being one of the finest players of the team and the trend has continued even after his retirement.

A few days ago Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli  posted a collage of two pictures on social media – one showing a young Kohli staring then batting star Dravid as the former Indian captain posed with a group of players and the second showing a Kohli in his first match as India’s full time Test skipper being interviewed by Dravid.
Kohli’s caption for the picture read:”Moments like these make you feel grateful for where you are. Once I was trying to make eye contact with this legend and then I was interviewed by him while playing test cricket for India. I guess dreams do come true.”

And Dravid, who is known for his modesty, replied in his typical style. The wall, as he is fondly known, said:”Were you trying to only make eye contact or telling yourself, ‘Buddy, I will do everything you did, but do it even better!”

The former Indian captain went on to praise Kohli and said, ‘ You have been remarkable Virat Kohli, keep going!! – RD (Rahul Dravid)

Meanwhile, the current Indian Test skipper is in West Indies for the  four-match Test series. India leads the series by 1-0 after winning the first match and drawing the second. The penultimate game of the series will be played at St Lucia from August 9.

Anyway, writing for sports has kept me closer to this field. One more thing, yours sincerely is a die-hard Liverpool fan. You will never walk alone.
