Spinner Adil Rashid and fast bowler Steven Finn have been included in the 13 man squad for the first Test match against Australia beginning from July 8 at Cardiff. Rashid had a good One day International series against NewZeleand and Finn has not played a Test match since 2013.
Rashid’s inclusion in the squad came as no huge surprise as there are plenty of experience players in the squad who have Ashes experience. It provides Alistar Cook and Coach Trevor Bayliss plenty of bowling options and the surface in Cardiff will decide who makes into final playing eleven. England has 5 fast bowlers and 2 spinners.
England was trashed by Australia 5-0 in the last Ashes Test series in Australia. This Ashes promises to be mouthwatering as plenty of sledging might happen. England team has lot experience in the bowling and batting looks solid. England must play an attacking game and not allow Australia to dominate the series.
England drew the Test series against NewZeleand and Australia won their Test series against West Indies. Australia has a good bowling unit which can make use of the conditions and the batting also looks in great shape.
The England team looks like as follows:
Captain(Alistar Cook), Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Gary Balance, Ian Bell, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Steve Finn, Adam Lyth, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Mark Wood.
Lets wait and see what happens in this series.
