India head coach Ravi Shastri is set to get a 20% hike in his CTC that will see him earn Rs 10 Crore/year for his services, a report in Mumbai Mirror suggests. In his previous stint, Shastri earned Rs 8 Crore/year and in his second stint, he will be getting a total increase of Rs 2 Crore/year.

Ravi Shastri was already the highest-paid coach in Indian cricket and the increase of Rs 2 Crore further adds to the amount that he earns.
Apart from Shastri, his support staff will also get a hike. The report adds that bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar are expected to earn Rs 3.5 Crore/year while new batting coach Vikram Rathour will be earning between Rs 2..5 Crore to Rs 3 Crore.

During his stint as head coach, former India captain Anil Kumble earned approximately Rs 6.25 Crore. Rahul Dravid, former India A an U-19 coach, used to earn 5.5 Crore/year for the position that he held.
Team India’s performances under Shastri would have played a role in him getting a 20% hike. India ended the drought of 72 years earlier this year when they defeated Australia in Australia in Tests. Team India also played the semi-final of World Cup 2019.
The present stint of Shastri as head coach is expected to be his last one and surely, there will be a change in coaching staff after 2021 T20 World Cup, when the contracts of present staff come to an end.

Shastri, Bharat Arun and Sanjay Bangar had joined team India’s backroom staff on the tour of England in 2014. R Sridhar joined the staff later. While Shastri and Arun were dropped when Anil Kumble took over as head coach, Bangar continued to perform his job and recently completed five years in the position. He is the only coach of the present staff who did not get his contract renewed and was replaced by Vikram Rathour.

The contracts of the present staff came into effect from September 1. Team India will play two T20 World Cups and ICC Test championship under present coaching staff.
