Celluloid phenomenon Rajinikanth’s new movie “Kabali” has created a buzz in India. On the day of release on 22nd July a few offices in Bangalore and Chennai have declared holidays.
People in Bangalore and Chennai performed Pujas in front of Rajinikanth’s idol. An air carrier Air Asia has themed “Kabali” to attract the fans of Rajnikanth fans.
Now “Kabali” got a cricket connection as Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin compared himself with a scene of the movie which is leaked on the Whatsapp.
There was a scene where a player can’t leave his home for his match as his family was perming puja at home. So Ravichandran Ashwin compared himself and Indian players with the same situation. Currently, Indian team is touring West Indies and preparing for the Test starting on July 21, a day before the movie release, in Antigua, at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium.
So when the entire Chennai and Bangalore will celebrate the holidays and will hit the theatre halls, Ashwin will be busy representing India. So he will not be able to watch“Kabali”.
Like the scene, he will not able to watch the movie as he will play the Test match. In a tweet, he regrets his absence in Chennai to watch the movie of his favourite star Rajinikanth.
Ashwin also named his fellow players like Murali Vijay, who is also from Chennai, KL Rahul from Bangalore and India coach Anil Kumble.
