Ravichandran Ashwin Taunts Brad Hodge On Twitter

The Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has taunted the Australian cricketer Brad Hodge, who tendered an apology after he faced backlash for questioning Virat Kohli’s commitments after the Indian skipper skipped the fourth Test against Australia at Dharamsala, due to the shoulder injury.

Brad Hodge, after listening to news of Virat Kohli skipping the Test raised doubts and questioned Virat Kohli’s commitments as he said,

“If you miss one game of Test match cricket and you’re fronting up the next week for RCB versus whoever, Bangalore, at Chinnaswamy Stadium — you’d be pretty dirty if he didn’t front up to a Test match and try and win a valuable series against Australia — which has been pretty spiteful as well.

“You would think that your captain would get out there and get amongst the fight and get in there.

“It’s happened before. Not just Virat but there’s many players that have come up to IPL time and, look, we know it’s a cash rich tournament, there’s some money up for grabs.

“I’m hopeful, as a Gujarat Lions coach, that when we play RCB in a couple of weeks, that he’s not playing,” he added.

He faced backlash for questioning the Indian skipper which later forced the coach of Gujarat Lions to tender an apology to Virat Kohli and the people of India. He issued a statement on Twitter which read as,

But Ravichandran Ashwin, who is known for giving sarcastic replies to trolls on social media, was in no mood let Hodge go unscathed for criticising his skipper as he trolled Hodge on Twitter in his own way by writing –

There might be a chance when the RCB captain will skip the first few games of the IPL as he himself indicated that he is not 100% fit yet. However, both franchise and Kohli are yet to come up with an official confirmation.
