Following India’s remarkable victory in the second Test at Bengaluru, Ravichandran Ashwin’s wife has come up with a brilliant message that is bound to leave the Indian fans in splits.

After being on the back-foot for the first two days of the Bengaluru Test, India pulled off a sensational win as they defended a modest target of 188 to beat Australia by 75 runs and level the four-match series 1-1. Virat Kohli’s men were in a huge spot of bother on the penultimate day of the Test when the Australian pacers – Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood – took five wickets in 19 balls to bowl out India for 274 after they began the day on 213/4.

However, the world number one team, led by Ashwin’s brilliant six-wicket haul dismissed the visitors for a paltry 112 runs to get back to winning ways. Apart from the off-spinner, fast-bowler Ishant Sharma also made valuable contribution with the ball. The Indian pacer did not get too many wickets to show for his hard-work but bowled brilliantly to keep the Aussie batsmen under pressure and the reward was reaped by Ashwin.

After the match ended, the offie took to Twitter to acknowledge Ishant’s contribution in the win. Posting a picture of himself along with the pacer, the Tamil Nadu ace tweeted:“This man 6 runs set us up today! Bowled his heart out too. Well done Ishy”.

But Ashwin’s wife stole the show with a brilliant reply. Replying to his husband’s tweet, Prithi Ashwin demanded for the duo’s send-off faces rather than the smiling faces.

Both Ashwin and Ishant were involved in several animated incidents during the match. While Ishant became the talk of the town after he mimicked Aussie skipper Steven Smith on the second day of the Test, Ashwin grabbed the limelight on the penultimate day of the match by giving a hilarious send-off to Mitchell Starc. The Aussie pacer had pointed his finger to his head after Abhinav Mukund top edged him for a six in the second innings. Ashwin took the revenge by doing the same thing after dismissing Starc.
