Ravindra Jadeja, the all-rounder is considered one of the most important players for the Indian cricket team. He has been ruled out of the fourth Test, to be played in Brisbane, and also went surgery for his thumb.

Ravindra Jadeja Tweets Surgery Completed And Will Soon Return
Thus, as he fractured his thumb after being hit by a delivery during the 3rd Test against Australia, it came as a big blow for Ajinkya Rahane-led India given the kind of role Ravindra Jadeja had played for the Indian team in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Ravindra Jadeja had a batting average of 85 and bowling average of 15 which is remarkable in this Test series playing 2 Tests.
With India’s back against the wall on Day 5 of the 3rd Test, he showed enormous courage as he was padded up to face some of the quickest bowlers in world cricket for his country. But that wasn’t needed eventually as Ravichandran Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari were defence in batting strategy to pull off a memorable draw for the hosts playing out about 43 overs together stitching an unbeaten 62 run partnership for 6th wicket.
Soon after the surgery, the all-rounder shared a photograph for his fans on social media and promised to return with a bang.
“Out of action for a while. surgery completed. But will soon return with a bang!” the all-rounder tweeted.
