It is the most awaited tournament for all sports fans and athletes who worked hard. Athletes from 207 countries in 42 sports will vie for a medal  during the highly competitive tournaments for 16 days.

Amidst other countries, India will compete for a very small chunk of medals. However, as India sent a contingent of 118 athletes, a country of 1.2 billion stands a chance to double its medal tally from the last Olympic in London 2012.

Even before the opening ceremony, Indian men and women archery team will start their ranking round. Individual players will also compete in this competition.

Archery is an old game which Indians are familiar with, but over the time, South Korea, England, and Denmark  have excelled in this game, so these teams will give India a tough competition.
