As for the Indian cricketers the upcoming big assignment is the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is preparing hard to lead the franchise to another title win.
The Indian cricketer has been seen enjoying the lockdown period and coronavirus break with his family. He has also been updating about the same to his fans on his official accounts. The extended break had also made him pro-active on social media. The hitman had several times went live on Instagram with his Team India’s mate Yujvendra Chahal, Shreyas Iyer, Jasprit Burmah, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Suresh Raina and former cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
During those interactive sessions, Rohit Sharma had spilt the beans on several topics related to cricket and his personal life.
But now as the cricket has found its way back although the coronavirus scare has not gone, the MI player is getting back into groove since last playing a competitive match in February.
Rohit has hit the gym again as he revealed in a social media post. In a picture posted on Instagram, Rohit can be seen sweating it out in the gym – what he termed as “Going low only to push yourself higher.”
Meanwhile, the IPL is scheduled from 19th September but this time the league can not be hosted in India because of the coronavirus. The IPL teams will have to travel to the UAE two-three weeks before to quarantine and form a bio-secure bubble. The players and staff members will not be allowed to meet any outsider for their safety.
The teams will have to go through at least five rounds of testing before they could train in the UAE as mandated in the standard operating procedures (SOPs) shared by the BCCI with the franchises.
As per reports, Mumbai Indians are planning to book the whole apartment for the safety of players.
