The legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has a birthday tomorrow (24th April), but he will not celebrate it. He has taken this decision to show respect to the frontline workers who are fighting day and night in the time of crises.
The outbreak of coronavirus has forced everyone to lock themselves behind the close doors. But the workers like doctors, police officers, nurses, and other professionals have to work in a difficult situation to help others. So, according to Sachin’s close source, the master blaster has given up his birthday celebration as a tribute to those workers, who are working daily to make others’ life comfortable.
Sachin Tendulkar to pay tribute to coronavirus warriors:

“Sachin has decided that this is not the time for celebrations. He feels that this is the best tribute he can pay to all the doctors, nurses, paramedics, policemen, defence personnel, who are at the frontline,” a source close to the player told PTI on Wednesday.
“He has always been very uncomfortable talking about this aspect,” the source said.
Sachin donated INR 50 lakh, now decided not to celebrate his 47th birthday:

The 46-year-old was the first among sports celebrities to come forward to help the government. He has donated INR 25 lakh each to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to combat the pandemic. He is also involved with several other relief work initiatives.
Apart from Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and many other cricketers have also done their part to help the needy.
As of now, the coronavirus has taken the lives of 681 people, and more than 21,000 people have been affected in India. Well, the number of cases is increasing with rapid speed, and social distancing is the only cure to curb the spread of the virus. If the situation didn’t get normal early, many significant cricket events would also get affected.
