The Mumbai Cricket Association has rejected the plea of former Indian batsman about having 15 players in the side rather than conventional 11 players a side, for the Inter College and School level tournaments. According to Sachin, this is not a wise option to field 11 players at that level , when you conside the amount of difficulties a young guy at the age of 12 is taking to reach the stadium. It is unfair on them .

According to Sachin , many a times a player travelling miles to reach the stadium for a match don’t even know if he is playing or not. This idea was proposed by Sachin tendulkar during his felicitation ceremony last year in December at Bandra Kurla Complex.

Sachin also added that many a times a good fast bowler is not included in the lineup because there are already 3 spinners playing on a turning track , which is not the fault of that young fast bowler.

The technical team of the MCA has said that this proposal is not feasible and cannot be converted into actions. This step by the MCA will have some mixed feelings from the crowds and the experts and it yet remains to be seen if MCA will rethink over this strategy once again if they are criticised for not adopting this one.
