The Caribbean Premier League is an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament held in the Caribbean. It was created in 2013 and replaced the Caribbean Twenty20 as the premier Twenty20 competition in the Caribbean. The countdown has begun to the 2014 Limacol Caribbean Premier League which is set to be even bigger and better than last year. Six teams are competing CPLT20 tournament– Jamaica Tallawahs, Red Steel, Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St. Lucia Zouks, and Antigua Hawksbills. One of the best bowlers of IPL 7, the local boy Sunil Narine is playing for Guyana Amazon Warriors. He is known as ‘Mystery Bowlers’ for his tweaky tricks. His classy, tricky off spin made a unique brand in the cricket world and his weapon is heavily suiting in this type of short format. His deadly weapon moreover everybody has seen in the IPL 7 wearing Kolkata Knight Rider’s jersey.

In a recent Interview he spoke about CPL, IPL, Carom Ball, the toughest batsman to bowl to and etc.

When Sunil was asked about what would be expected by International players and West Indies players, he replied that many unknown Caribbean player will have the opportunity to show their talent in front of the world. This new talents will also learn from overseas players.

After playing in many tournaments in other countries, home tournament made him comfortable, and added that it is going to sharp his strength more, when he was asked about CPL likes and teammates of his team.

He shocked everyone with his reply when he was asked about his bowling style at initial stage. He used to bowl medium pace, and at the age of 17 he started unorthodox off spin ball but never had the carom ball that time. Ajantha Mendis’s carom ball inspired him and gave him confidence to start that. He is now developing this weapon.

He is playing as a bowler for a long days which is the main reason of his poor batting ability. He also added that he is trying to work on his batting, when he was asked about his batting ability.

He was asked about the attitude which could be shown when a batsman may go after a bowler from first over. He said that every bowler should keep calm and not show any expression to the batsman, so that they don’t read the bowler and judge whether he is tense or anxious.

He was also asked about IPL and Kolkata knight Riders, pointing the question about their success which brought them 2 IPL trophies. He replied KKR is not a team, it is family for him. Every player, supporting staff is great there. If the mentality, moral of the team is good then they could win any mach. This is true for KKR also.

Narine felt that Virender Sehwag is a classy player of off spin. He never gives the bowler the chance to break his mind set, he said when he was asked about the toughest batsman whom he bowled. Sometimes batsman like Pollard,’BOOM BOOM’ Afridi gave him fear. He was overwhelmed when he out the ‘GOD of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar for first time.

Guyana Amazon Warriors has good chance of going all the way this year, but at the end of the day it depends on how you perform in the field. Best team will win, he answered when he was asked about the condition of Guyana Amazon Warriors.
