The most awaited Test series for the Indian spectator is against Australia who is a tough competitor for Men in Blue. Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne wants to upgrade the Border-Gavaskar trophy (a four-match Test series between India and Australia) to a new level.

I hope both the BCCI & CA make it happen – Shane Warne

Shane Warne wants to add one more Test match in this Test series to make it a five-match Test series (like Ashes). Also, he proposed the inclusion of three day-night Test matches with two traditional fashion of Test matches. He wants the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and Cricket Australia (CA) to draw their attention to his idea.

Shane Warne wrote on his twitter handle: “I’ve said this before-but how good would a 5 test match series between Aust & India be next season. Bris Perth Adelaide D/N Melb & Syd. I hope both the BCCI & CA make it happen. Scheduling is not an excuse @BCCI @cricketcomau @imVkohli @tdpaine36 @SGanguly99

It is not the first time the former Australian cricketer has given his advice for the Test series between India and Australia. Last year, when India won the first time the Test series against Australia in Australia, India had been requested to play a day/night Test in Australia during that tour but the visitors had declined that offer. India had fair chances to win the series because Australia was playing the Tests without their star batsman David Warner and Steve Smith.

Meanwhile, the Australian team has arrived in India to play the three-match ODI series. The series will start from 14th January scheduled in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The second and Third ODI matches will be played on 17th and 19th Jan respectively. Whereas India will tour Australia in October to play the Border Gavaskar trophy, three T20Is and three ODIs along with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020.
