Sachin Tendulkar was the lone Indian cricketer to feature in “1990s World XI” picked by former cricketers Shane Warne, Mike Atherton, and Ramiz Raja. The trio picked two Test sides for “Sky Sports” , “Current World Test XI” and the best from the 1990s. Legendary Pakistani seamer Wasim Akram was chosen to lead the 1990s side.
After the consensus of all three of them, Shane Warne took to Instagram to reveal the team.
Michael Slater and Saeed Anwar were selected as the openers for the team while the middle order was studded with stalwarts- Ricky Ponting, Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara.
Legendary Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara was selected for the wicket-keeping role. South African great Jacques Kallis, who scored 13289 runs and took 292 wickets in Tests, has been chosen as the all-rounder. The bowling line up looks explosive too.
