He did not join the team before the start of the tournament, and now, it has been confirmed that he will miss the complete season. In fact, doubts were also raised over his availability for the opening phase of Big Bash League (BBL), but the chances of him missing the starting of the tournament are quite less.

Watson was a part of Dhaka Dynamites in BPL. The franchise had already replaced him with Windies star all-rounder Kieron Pollard. In fact, he also played the first game of the season for the franchise. Dhaka Dynamites consist of likes of Kevon Cooper, Evin Lewis, Mohammad Amir, captain Shakib al Hasan and many star players.
Though Watson non-availability will have a big impact on the team as apart from contributing in both the departments of the game, he could have also helped skipper in taking decisions. Watson recently led Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise in IPL in few games and even led St Lucia Stars in Carribean Premier League.
Surely, the team will miss on his services badly, and the effect of him being ruled out will be seen in the games to come.
Meanwhile, Dhaka Dynamites opened its campaign on the first day of the league. They faced Sylhet Sixers in the first contest and lost it by a margin of nine wickets. They will play their second game today (November 5) against Khulna Titans and would be hoping to turn the tides in their favor, sans Shane Watson.
