For a sportsperson, injury can be a big break in his career and team also get effected by player’s absence. The opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has got injured before the West Indies series which can be a worrying factor for the team.

After winning Bangladesh T20I series, Shikhar Dhawan has joined the ongoing domestic T20 tournament, Syed Mushtaq Trophy 2019/20. On Thursday (21st November), while the Delhi player was playing against Maharashtra, he got injured. Without getting stressed for his injury, the cheerful Shikhar Dhawan got treated in the hospital.

The player shared the picture on social media with an encouraging note. He has promised that he will be back in the game in 4-5 days.

He wrote: “We Fall, We Break, but then…. We Rise. We heal and we overcome, and the only thing you have control over is how you respond to any situation. Here’s to being positive and happy in every situation that life throws at you. Will be back in action in 4-5 days

Shikhar Dhawan posted three pictures, one with his usual pose and other with the hospital staff. The allrounder Hardik Pandya questions the left-hander that was he treating the whole hospital.

Hardik had also gone under surgery and is out of action after the South Africa T20I series. The player is currently under rehabilitation period.

The big challenge of the opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan is his performance in the shortest format. Against Bangladesh T20I series, the player was not much effective.

The 33-year-old is not the part of the Test squad and will be missing the opportunity to play India’s first pink ball game. Indian team is scheduled with a long home series. After the Bangladesh Test series, the team will play a three-match T20I and three-match ODI series against West Indies, starting from 6 December.
