Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar, who is famous for giving controversial statements, especially about Indian cricket, has denied Virender Sehwag’s sledging story. Taking to Twitter, the former pacer stated that Sehwag has self-made the story.
India and Pakistan rivalry is beyond the cricket boundaries. When the India-Pakistan player sledged or have a verbal confrontation in the field, it becomes a big show in media.
The sledging story which Akhtar has recently denied was given when Shahrukh Khan in an award show had asked Virender Sehwag to share an interesting sledging incident.
Then former Indian opener had claimed that Akhtar had provoked him to hit boundary when he was close to 200 run mark.
Replying to Akhtar, Sehwag had said to ask the God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar, which was at non-striker end to hit him sixes.
“Woh tera baap khada hai wo non-striking end pe, uss ko bol woh mar ke dikhayega. Non-striker end pe Tendulkar tha. Next over mai jab usne Tendulkar ko bouncer mara toh usne chakka mara, maine kaha beta beta hota hai aur baap baap hota hai,” Sehwag had said.
