Sourav Ganguly has been a great player on the field and after his retirement, he is also playing it with a straight bat in the commentary box as well. Instance 1: Ravi Shastri tries to pull Ganguly’s legs and gets owned

Sourav Ganguly talks about VVS & Sachin having Stands respectively in Hyderabad & Mumbai. Ravi Shastri tried to pull Ganguly’s Leg and asked Now tell me, in Eden Gardens shouldn’t there be a Sourav Dada Ganguly Stand? For that Ganguly smiled and replied The Entire Ground Belongs to me Ravi.

Instance 2: Sourav Ganguly Trolling Nasser Hussain.

Nasser Hussain in the commentary box asked Harsha Bhogle and Sourav Ganguly When can I see India playing in a football world cup? for which Ganguly replied If India had played world cup football for 50 years, then they would have qualified one or two times for the finals unlike England.

Instance 3: This time, it is Harsha Bhogle who was in the receiveing end

In the commentary box during the penultimate test of Sachin Tendulkar at Kolkata, Harsha Bhogle asked Ganguly Do you think Sachin will be more popular than you during that Kolkata test? for which the Prince of Kolkata replied Yes, but only for those 5 days.

Instance 4: Ganguly trolls Sunil Gavaskar and the WACA crowd

It was the do-or-die battle between India and England at Perth and Ganguly was with Harsha Bhogle and Sunil Gavaskar in the commentary box. It was expected to be a low turn-out crowd. But it had over 7500 people at the WACA. Gavaskar was mentioning that in the commentary as he said The attendance today is 7653 for which Ganguly said We have that attendance in Durga Pooja. 

Instance 5: Geoffrey Boycott got it back for referring to Ganguly’s celebration at the Lords Balcony

Geoffrey Boycott: You must mention his experience about playing against England and also that Natwest Trophy Final taking his jersey off and flying it in the air at the Mecca of Cricket! Ohhh, you naughty boy! 

Sourav Ganguly (Imitating Boycott’s style and pronunciation): One of your boy also took off his jersey here in Mumbai. 

Geoffrey Boycott: Yeah, but Lord’s is the Mecca of Cricket.

Sourav Ganguly: Lord’s is your Mecca, and Wankhede is ours.
