Virat Kohli will return to the national side in the upcoming Asian tournament after missing the tours of the West Indies and Zimbabwe. Virat Kohli has been facing a massive slump in his batting form for almost three years now. His wretched run on the England tour has also raised questions about his place in the T20I set-up when the T20I World Cup is less than 2 months away.

Sourav Ganguly said that Virat Kohli just needs practice and some game time and he will be good while hoping for a century from him, which has eluded the former captain since 2019.
Sourav Ganguly said, “Virat needs practice and has to play (more) matches. He is a great player. He is playing very well but not getting a century. Hope he will make a century in this Asia Cup. I am very hopeful.”

I don’t know what will happen because I am not in practice anymore… I don’t know what will happen. I wish I can play cover drive like before. I wish I could connect the bat and ball well. I will play just one game. Will enjoy the game. It’s a game for a good occasion and I am happy to participate in it,” he added.

Sourav Ganguly just wished to be able to play the cover drive like before as he is uncertain because of not being in practice anymore.
