Former skipper and flambuoyantsoutpaw Sourav Ganguly superceded Anil Kumble, the former tweaker and one of his most valuable assets as captain of the Indian cricket team, to head the technical committee of BCCI
.Ganguly has also been serving as the interim president for the Cricket Association of Bengal following the unprecedented and unfortunate demise of Jagmohan Dalmiya, the then president of BCCI.THe tall and imperious leggie had guided the committee as its chairman for over a year.
The decision came following India’s ignominious loss to South Africa in the ODI and the T20 series. The AGM has made quite a few astounding decisions which include axing of Roger Binny and purging of Ravi Shastri from the IPL governing council.
Rajiv Shukla, however, managed to retain his portfolio as the chairman of IPL governing council following the Annual General Meeting(AGM) of the Board for Control of Cricket in India(BCCI).
Shukla has served as the chairman of the money spinning cricket extravaganza for 5 consecutive years between 2008 to 2013 before returning in April 2015.The other prominent conclusions involved sacking of Roger Binny as National selector and repudiation of Ravi Shastri from IPL governing council, citing alleviating the conflict of interest between board officials.
Also N.Srinivasan has been sacked from his chairman post at International Cricket Council and shall be replaced by Shashank Manohar, the current president of BCCI
