Team India’s heart throb of the current generation, Virat Kohli has time and again shown that he is not just one of the best on the field but he is close to it off the field as well.
In the current Indian Premier League season, the 27-year old has scored 677 runs at an average of 75.22 and has scored three centuries in just 11 games in the tournament.
He is currently the highest run scorer in the competition more than 100 runs away from his nearest opponent and has shown his class on a consistent basis.
But what makes Kohli stand out not only as a player but also a human being is the things he does in his free time.
Already this season, Virat Kohli managed to take time off his busy IPL schedule to take a tour of an old-age home in Bangalore brining smiles to many faces.
He has also arranged a gala dinner to help all budding cricketers in the country to get more of an exposure and its seems like the 27-year old is trying to make a difference and is using his fans to make a point.
Not a social bug in general, Virat Kohli posted a heart touching message recently on social media website Twitter.
He posted a picture of a poor kid with a caption of his own: “This is really touching. We should always be grateful for what God has given us. Never complain. Be Thankful”
Here is the tweet:

The post was an instant hit on the website with unbelievable number of re-tweets within no time which would have made the batsman happy for getting his message across.
The Delhi born batsman was also nominated for the Khel Ratna award recently and with his cricketing form and his social gestures, there is hardly anyone else who deserves the award more than him.
