Ashes brief day two:

At stumps on day two of the Perth Test, Australia posted 203 for three, as they are trailing by 200 runs after England was all out on 403 in 115.1 overs.
Skipper Steven Smith is leading from the front to steady the ship when Australia was struggling at 55 for two in 17.2 overs. For the third-wicket Smith alongside Usman Khawaja forged a 124-run partnership before Khawaja got dismissed on 50 off 123 balls.
Shouldering the responsibility, Smith is batting on 92 off 122 balls. He smashed 14 boundaries and a six in his immaculate knock. On the other side, in-form Shaun Marsh had faced 36 balls to score seven which includes a solitary boundary.
Badminton: Kidambi Srikanth Crashes out; PV Sindhu qualifies for the knockout stage:

Promising and ace shuttler Kidambi Srikanth in the Group B fixture had lost the second game in a row which forced him to be virtually crashed out of the Dubai Super Series Finals when he lost the game by 21-18 and 21-18 against Chinese Taipei’s counterpart Choun Tien Chen on Thursday night.
Pertinently, in his first game, Srikanth lost the game against reigning champion Viktor Axelsen, who is the world number one. On Friday (December 15), Srikanth is bound to face China’s Shi Yuqi in his final fixture. Yuqi has also reached the All England Open in the past.
On the other side, the third-seeded PV Sindhu had stormed into the knockout stage of the World Superseries Finals after thrashing eighth seed Sayako Sato by 21-13 and 21-12 in Dubai. Interestingly, the Olympic silver medalist Sindhu wrapped the game in 36 minutes in a bid to top the charts.
Indian Super League: Bengaluru FC trounces Pune City 3-1:

While facing Bengaluru FC at the home ground Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex on Thursday night, Pune City had just earned 34 percent of possession during the game, as the visitors dominated the side thoroughly by having the ball in Pune’s half.
Earlier, in the 35th minute of the play, Pune City claimed the lead when Adil Khan scored the goal before the red card forced Pune to play with ten players, as Baljit Sahni was the culprit during the second half.
However, the visitors made a strong comeback, as Miku scored an all-important goal in the 64th minute which further saw him completing the brace in the 78th minute of the play. In the added injury time, ace footballer Sunil Chhetri registered his goal in 96th minute, before the referee blew the final whistle.
In another fixture on Friday (December 15) Kerala Blasters will take on NorthEast at 8:00 PM IST.
T10 Cricket League Results:
Kerala Kings Vs Bengal Tigers:

In the curtain raiser of the T10 league in Sharjah, Kerala Kings won the match convincingly by eight wickets and 12 balls to spare against Bengal Tigers. Batting first, Tigers led by Sarfraz Ahmed managed to post 86 for one on the board.
However, Eoin Morgan-led side chased down the target in eight overs. The top scorer for Kings was opener Paul Stirling, who smashed 66 runs off 27 deliveries. His innings was comprised of 10 fours and three sixes.
In another fixture former Pakistan skipper, Shahid Afridi grabbed the headlines to become the first bowler to pick a hat-trick in the T10 league.
Pakhtoons Vs Maratha Arabians:

The Pakhtoons’ skipper was facing Maratha Arabians which is led by Virender Sehwag. Afridi claimed three wickets after conceding 19 runs in two overs.
Batting first, Pakhtoons posted 121 for four in 10 overs, as Arabians managed to score 96 for seven which saw them losing the match by 25 runs.
