ToggleSri Lanka has announced 14-player squad for T20I and ODI for the upcoming tour of Pakistan. Sri Lanka’s fight will start from 27th September and will end on 9th October and in between, there are three ODI and three T20I. Lahiru Thirimanne will lead the ODI team while Dasun Shanaka will captain the T20I team.

The batting team is largely inexperienced and unknown. In both formats, the team has the same members, only Bhanuka Rajapaksa will replace Lahiru Thirimanne in T20I. Rajapaksa is also the only uncapped player in T20I. He has played 52 T20s and scored 975 runs with six half-centuries. His experience can help the Sri Lankan team.
Oshada Fernando made his international debut early this year and has impressed everyone one with his performance. Though he has only played ODI and Test Matches, he has now the chances to debut in T20I. This will be a big opportunity for him to make his permanent place in the senior team. Wicket Keeper batsman Minod Bhanuka is the only uncapped player in ODI squad.
Sri Lanka’s bowling unit has some good bowler like Nuwan Pradeep and also spinners Lakshan Sandakan and Wanindu Hasaranga. Talking about allrounders, Dasun Shanaka and Shehan Jayasuriya are included in the squad who have given satisfactory performance against Bangladesh.

The venue for three-match ODI series is National Stadium in Karachi and T20I is Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Because of the security concerns, only those player are included in the squad who have agreed to travel to Pakistan.
