Sri Lanka slaps Jaffrey Vandersay with a one-year suspension for misconduct

Off late, Sri Lanka is experiencing all kind of setbacks. Be it in doping or ball-tampering, misconduct or disobeying the respective board, Sri Lanka is suffering pretty badly in every department. Unfortunately, the commas are being extended as their players are repeating them time and time again. Jaffrey Vandersay has been the new edition.
Meanwhile, one of their key youngsters Jaffrey Vandersay has been handed a one-year suspension sentence for his misconduct and also slapped with 20% of his annual contract.
Jaffrey Vandersay handed one-year suspension:
Jeffrey Vandersay who recently made his arrival into the international cricket is being polished under the watchful eyes of the world-class coaches for future series.
However, his disciplinary breach saw him receive the suspension notice. He was also fined 20% of his annual contract fee under the laws of misconduct in the game of cricket.
Despite the board hesitated to reveal the reason, it is learned from few sources that the youngster failed to reach the team hotel in time after going for a night out.
Recently, he was also made to cut short his stint with the national team in Sri Lanka’s tour to Windies for the Test series following the breach of disciplinary rules set by their respective board.
“Jaffrey Vandersay was imposed with the punishment, following the player’s admission of guilt over the incident. SLC has also informed the player that during the period of serving the aforesaid suspended sentence, any breach of the contractual obligation shall be severely dealt with together with the suspension,” Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Vandersay took to his official Twitter panel to convey his sorry for the Sri Lankan cricket fans. He furtherly added that he would do everything to regain their support and promised that he would strive for the country’s pride.
”Hi guys. I would like to apologize to everyone for letting you all down. SLC has given me a suspended sentence for a year which I won’t take for granted and promise that I will do everything to make my country and team proud.”
