Steven Smith stole the show at the Allan Border Medal 2015 night on January 27th, taking home the Test and the ODI player of the year award alongside the main one- the Allan Border Medal (his first one). 

Smith had a magnificent 2014 in as in the 9 Test matches, he scored 1146 runs at an impressive average of 81.85 with five centuries and four half-centuries. In the ODIs too, he played 12 matches and hit 541 runs at a significant average of 49.18 with two centuries and three half-centuries. He was also awarded the man of the series in the ODI series against South Africa at home and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Smith even lead Australia in the three Tests against India and won one and two resulted in a draw.
