Former Pakistan cricketer, Shoaib Akhtar’s statement of organising the India and Pakistan series amid the coronavirus to raise fund, has stirred former Indian cricketers. Sunil Gavaskar took the dig at Akhtar saying that there are more chances of snowfall in Lahore than bilateral series between India and Pakistan. Former pacer didn’t keep quiet and had replied to him on Twitter. Well, the banter between the two is still going on as Gavaskar has also now replied to Akhtar.
To Gavaskar’s line of snowfall in Lahore, Shoaib Akhtar shared the picture of snowing in Lahore last year. He wanted to prove that nothing is impossible.
Here is the tweet from Shoaib Akhtar in response to a comment from Sunil Gavaskar:
Well Sunny bhai, we did have a snowfall in Lahore last year 🙂
So nothing is impossible. pic.twitter.com/CwbEGBc45N— Shoaib Akhtar (@shoaib100mph) April 14, 2020
Sunil Gavaskar’s reply to Shoaib Akhtar:

A fast bowler with a sense of humour: Sunil Gavaskar on Shoaib Akhtar
Well, former Indian cricketer enjoyed Akhtar’s response and said that I like the fast bowlers who have a sense of humour.
“Requests keep coming in to join with them (former cricketers) to relive the old times and talk about how time is spent in the current self-containment situation. It’s not easy which ones to accept and which to reject. I enjoyed the one I did with Ramiz Raja as we get along very well but what I enjoyed, even more, was Shoiab Akhtar’s superb comeback about my snowfall in Lahore comment. A fast bowler with a sense of humour. Wow, love that!” Sunil Gavaskar was quoted as saying by mid-day.

Earlier, Kapil Dev had also responded to the speedsters saying that India has enough money and they don’t want to risk players life amid the spread of the virus. To that, Akhtar said that Kapil had misunderstood his request. While former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi also agreed with his fellow countrymen to host the series between the two arch-rivals.
