Suresh Raina’s Like To A Twitter User Regarding ”Team Politics” Sparks Controversy
The stylish southpaw of India Suresh Raina has always been one of the greatest assets for the Indian National Cricket Team. However, poor fitness has let to his ouster from the team but he made a fine comeback with decent performance in England but surprisingly, he was once again sacked from the team.
One of the major contributors for the team during the ICC World Cup 2011, Suresh Raina hasn’t had the best of the times after the conclusion of the successful tournament. Despite performing brilliantly for the team, he has been dropped from the team citing fitness concerns.
Suresh Raina used to be the regular player for India:
Meanwhile, a section of people felt that there were politics in the team. They felt that it ruined the career of Suresh Raina. In between, the stylish southpaw liked a tweet of his fan, which read that team politics has seen his ouster from the team. It certainly sparked a controversy, as it is rare to see a player liking such tweets.
A few years back it was almost certain that Suresh Raina will make the playing eleven for India every game. So what’s changed? Well for starters, his inability to handle the short ball effectively has resulted in him. And also, not being able to put away the full ball which was earlier his bread and butter shot.
The analysts and the selectors felt that the reason for this being he is anticipating every ball to be a short ball. It saw him going on backfoot too often and this weakness is exploited by the opposition. Moreover, the amount of good players coming into the Indian cricketing circuit has also kept him away from the Indian team.
Raina displayed sportsmanship:
Well, coming back to the topic, Suresh Raina, on the other day, showed the sportsman spirit when he tied the shoelace of Delhi’s swashbuckling batsman Rishabh Pant. Meanwhile, the official IPL site posted the video on social media platforms hailing his sportsmanship.
Meanwhile, one of the fans tweeted saying that Suresh Raina has always been the humble cricketer and it is disappointing to see him away from the team due to the team politics. Surprisingly, Suresh Raina liked the tweet of him.
