Yadav was reported after the match by the on-field umpires, Rod Tucker and Kumar Dharmasena, and the third umpire, S. Ravi. Primary role of Yadav is batting, but he chipped in with three overs during the final in the absence of Sunil Narine, who was been banned for a suspect action after been reported twice.
Yadav became the fifth offspinner to be reported for chucking during the CLT20, after Mohammad Hafeez and Adnan Rasool of Lahore Lions, Prenelan Subrayen of the Dolphins and Narine of Kolkata Knight Riders.
According to the CLT20′s Suspected Illegal Bowling Action policy, Yadav can now request for an official assessment from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Suspect Bowling Action Committee. However, Suryakumar Yadav is a medium pacer too. Unless he tries to bowl off-spin again, he cannot be banned.
