IPL has come calling on our doors and the temperature is going to sore only higher. The World Cup has just come to an end and none would deny that it was tournament that was dominated by batsmen. Two double centuries were scored in the tournament and that’s least I can say of is how the batsmen have hammered the bowlers.

Though bowlers did enjoy their share of success but it was the batsmen who had the upper hand most of the times. Now IPL is here and there dominance of batsmen is expected to continue. With smaller grounds in India the ball is surely going to fly towards each corner of the ground.

Ishant Sharma’s spell of 66 for none in 4 overs against Chennai Super Kings is the most expensive bowling spell in the 7 year history of Indian Premier League. He conceded runs at an average of 14 runs per over.

Second on the list of most expensive spells in IPL is Sandeep Sharma who conceded 65 runs for 1 wicket in 4 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad. This young Kings XI bowler had showed a lot of promise in the previous season and will be among one of the key Indian pace bowlers to look after.

Other bowlers to make it to this list of most expensive spells in IPL are Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron and Ashoke Dinda.

With batsmen all set to go after the bowlers, we can definitely expect some new names or same names with more expensive spells in this season of IPL.
