Ajinkya Rahane becomes the fifth Indian batsman to score a hundred in both innings at Delhi Test. His partnership with Virat Kohli helped India to get 480 runs lead. India declared the innings after Rahane completes his hundred.
Today morning, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane started with 83 and 52. But, Kohli has trapped lbw on 88 of Kyle Abbott.
But, it was Rahane whose first innings 127 helped India to put 334 runs on the board.
Rahane is the only batsman who has scored a hundred in this series so far. His century double in Delhi, where he made his debut in 2013, made him the fifth Indian batsmen to achieve the feat in the history of Indian cricket.
Before Rahane, captain Kohli was the last man to achieve the record last winter against Australia at Adelaide Oval. Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar and Vijay are the other three batsmen who achieved the feat.
Twitter salutes Rahane for his century double at Feroz Shah Kotla
A champion knows how to overcome his failures. Rahane at Kotla is a story of a champion #Rahane
