Varun Aaron , the Indian fast bowler is set to return back to India to attend his grandfather’s funeral. He is expected to join the team back on 31st of Decemeber. Varun Aaron was the part of Indian playing 11 for the first 2 Test matches played at Adelaide and Brisbane respectively. He may still play the Sydney Test.

Mohd. Shami has replaced Aaron for the 3rd Test , currently going on in Melbourne, where the match is evenly poised at the close of the 1st day’s play. Varun Aaron bowled with raw pace during the 1st 2 Test matches but lacked control . He was wayward with his deliveries and failed to leave any impression on the match , paving way for Mohd. Shami into the playing 11.

During the 1st Test match, Varun Aaron was the man who made the series interesting after he got into heat of action with Warner, after he gave a send off to David Warner , having bowled him , but only to realise that it was a no-ball and then Warner gave it back. Before this incident, the Test match progressed slowly and saw emotional moments due to the sad incident of Philip Hughes.
