Is there anything Ravichandran Ashwin cannot do? After making life difficult for the West Indies team with both bat and ball in the recently concluded four-match Test series, it seems that the Indian off-spinner will not spare the West Indies players even off the field. Ashwin, who won a record sixth Man of the Series awards in Tests, scored 235 runs with the help of two tons and took 17 wickets to help India win the series by 2-0.

Coming to Ashwin’s latest off the field antic, the 29-year-old Tamil Nadu bowler donned a sports journalist’s hat during the press conference of West Indies’ newly-appointed T20 skipper Carlos Brathwaite.

This weekend, the Indian team will lock horn against West Indies in Florida, the United States for two Twenty20 (T20) games. The last time the sides met in this format was in the ICC World T20 2016 semi-final in Mumbai and it ended in a heartbreak for the Indian team as they lost against the eventual winners. The Indian team will surely like to take the revenge for that disappointing loss. However, for the time being, Ashwin is enjoying his time in the Caribbeans and it seems revenge is not on his mind.

Ashwin decided to step into a journalist’s boots. He surprised all when he asked Brathwaite which team will receive more support in Florida during the T20 encounters.

Wisden India journalist Anand Vasu posted the following video which shows the Indian off-spinner asking questions during the press conference:
