Virat Kohli failed to register a big innings in front of his home crowd at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi as South African wicketkeeper Dan Vilas grabbed a stunning catch.

The wicket was unfortunate for Virat as a slog sweep off-spinner Dane Piedt struck on the thighs of short leg fielder Temba Bavuma, who escaped an injury, and ball hanged in the air enough for Vilas to take the catch.

Kohli looked fluent as he scored 44 off 62 balls. He hit seven boundaries.

Kohli’s wicket was a blow to India as India had already lost their top half for 138 runs.

India lost the wicket of Murali Vijay in the morning. India’s most successful batsman in the series scored 12 before caught at slip by captain Hashim Amla off Dane Piedt.

Piedt got four wickets. Dhawan once again left his promising innings in the bay as the left-handed batsman scored 33. Cheteshwar Pujara is bowled by bowler Kyle Abbott, who is playing in place of Dale Steyn.

Dane Piedt ha replaced Simon Harmer. He is playing his second Test match. Pitt made his debut against Zimbabwe this year.

His four wicktes haul put India in trouble as India have nothing but the tail. Ajnikya Rahane and Jadeja are at the crease fighting to salvage India’s innings. But, Saha’s innings did not last long as Abbott struck the second time in the innings. 

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma was caught out at deep mid-wicket by playing an irresponsible skier.  Before the tea, India lost 6 wickets for 139 runs.
