West Indies batsmen are known for their raw power and Dwayne Smith is certainly one of them. The big-hitting cricketer from the Caribbean has the ability to hit a cricket ball to a considerable distance. A T20 specialist, Smith has played many memorable matches for his country and club but he will always remember the game between his CPL team Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Lucia Zouks played on July 24.
The incident happened in the tenth over of Warriors’ innings. The right-handed batsman lofted former new Zealand all-rounder Grant Elliot for a gigantic six over long-off, that shattered the glass of drinks fridge which was kept way outside the ground.

Meanwhile, Smith’s heroics with the bat went in vain as the Zouks clinched a comfortable win over the Warriors by 9 wickets and 23 deliveries to spare. The West Indies opener
smashed a magnificent 56 and also picked up a wicket.
Batting first the Warriors posted a target of 159 for 5 in their 20 overs. Their Australian recruit Chris Lynn was the top scorer for them with 86 runs off just 45 balls, studded with 6 fours and as many maximums. But the Zouks made light work of that target and achieved it without many hiccups. Johnson Charles’ unbeaten innings of 94 and former Australian allrounder Shane Watson’s unbeaten knock of 57 helped the Zouks to chase down the total inside 17 overs.
