Video – MS Dhoni Cheekily Asks For A Review

With the Maharashtra derby currently underway in Pune, there have been quite a few interesting moments in the match so far. The revamped opening combination of Jos Buttler and Parthiv Patel seemed to be a good move as the English batting sensation blasted his way to a cameo at the top with a rapid knock.

However, the Rising Pune Supergiant stormed right back into the game thanks to an impeccable spell from the ever reliable Imran Tahir. Tahir, originally unsold in the player auctions, was on the money right away as he first castled Patel round his legs. That was followed by him getting the big wickets of Rohit Sharma and Jos Buttler.

There could have been further trouble for the Mumbai Indians had umpire S. Ravi not made a poor decision. Kieron Pollard resurrected the Mumbai innings with a few lusty blows and got the visitors right back into the match.

In the 15th over of the Mumbai Indians innings, as Tahir bowled a straighter one, it caught the Trinidadian off guard. Pollard went to defend the ball by planting his front foot in line with the ball. Nevertheless, the ball hit Pollard’s pad first and his bat later and it seemed to be a straight forward dismissal.

Umpire S. Ravi thought otherwise and gave him not out which surprised the Pune players. Wicketkeeper MS Dhoni was so amused that he went on to even ask for a review cheekily. Below, is the video of the incident.
