The Indian off-spinner Pragyan Ojha suffered a head injury during the Duleep trophy game between India Blue and India Green here in Greater Noida. Pragyan Ojha who was fielding at mid-on was surprised by an uneven bounce as the ball bounced immediately and hit him on the head.
It was the 63rd over of the game, Shreyas Gopal bowled the first ball of the over to Pankaj Singh who smashed it towards mid on, Pragyan Ojha was standing there and was in a comfortable position to field the ball. He sat on his one knee to gather the ball but shockingly the ball took an ascending leap and bounced out of nowhere. Ojha was hit on his head and the effect of the blow can adjudge by the fact that he was not able to move after suffering the blow.
Soon players and umpires surrounded Ojha, physios were also called to analyse and control the situation. After analysing his situation the physio’s called for a stretcher to carry Ojha out of the ground. Ojha was soon taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance present at the ground.
In the latest news, it is learnt that Ojha’s condition is normal as he able to recognise the people and is behaving normally. Surely this blow will have an effect on Ojha, not just physically but also mentally.
