Video: Umar Akmal's bizarre catch against England

Sudipta / 28 November 2015

England turned their fortune in the series against Pakistan. After the Test series loss. England won the ODI series 3-1 and a 14 runs victory in the first Twenty20 International the momentum firmly turned the match in favour of England in the limited-overs leg of their tour of the United Arb Emirates.

England clinched the series with an empathic three runs to victory in the second T20 at the Dubai International Cricket stadium.

England winning the toss opted to bat first. Handy contribution from the top order batsmen, especially from James Vince and Jos Buttler helped England to post 172 runs on the board.

Keeping the World T20 in mind, England shuffled their team again. Jos Buttler, David Willey, Joe Root and Chris Woakes and leaving out Eion Morgan, Moeen Ali, Chris Jordana and Reece Topley. Jose Buttler led the team as Morgan rested for the match.

However, the credit goes to England bowlers, who held their nerves  and sealed the victory with three runs victory over Pakistan.

In a breathtaking match, Umar Akmal has taken a catch, which looked weird as he while taking the catch at long on boundary control himself from losing the feet.

Akmal failed to contribute much with the bat. He scored three runs. But, his catch drew the attention. The batsman was Sam Billings. Bowler Wahab Riaz was bowling round the wicket. In the 17th over Billing hit for six but Umar Akmal controlled himself and grabbed the catch at the boundary line.
