Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli is contemplating the idea of filing a defamation case against comedian Tanmay Bhat , who posted a snapchat video mocking Indian legends Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar. In the same video the comedian also talked about Kambli in a poor manner.

The video titled ‘Sachin vs Lata Civil War’ in which Bhat used the face-swap feature to impersonate the two legends and enacted an exchange of insults between them – has received a huge protest from across the country.

Kambli took to twitter to express his disappointment over the video.

All set to sue the comedian, Kambli  took to twitter to say that he has spoken with his lawyer.

Punchlines like-“Phuck Virat. No, I’m very respectful for Virat. He is very good with bat and ladies”, “Lata tai namaskar. Very respectfully I’d like to add that you are 5000 years old”, “Your face looks like someone has kept you in water for eight days”, “Just look at you. Jon Snow also died, so you (Lata) should also die”- have  provoked a wave of protests. While several political parties have demanded action against the comedian, the Mumbai police has even contacted Google and YouTube for blocking the video.

However, the comedian looked completely unfazed and said:“LoL, Twitter, jaha pe logo ke marne se pehle unke marne ki khabar trend hoti hai, ‘tastless’ aur ‘crass’ jaise words use kar rahi hai.”

Refusing to back down,he said: “When you guys write about me tomorrow, can you please use my snapchat ID – it’s thetanmay thanks.”
